Why Titles Matter
On OTAs, the title influences both relevance (how often you appear) and click-through (whether guests open your page). A strong title communicates value in under two seconds.
The 3-Part Formula
Hook + Type + Location Cue
- Hook: what’s special (Balcony • River View • Free Parking • Fast Wi-Fi).
- Type: Studio, 1-BR Apartment, Boutique Double, Family Room.
- Location Cue: 2-min Metro • Old Town • Near Arena • City Center.
Examples:
- “Sunny Balcony Studio • 2-min Metro • Fast Wi-Fi”
- “Boutique Double • Old Town • Walk to Museums”
- “Family 2-BR w/ Parking • 5-min Beach • Workspace”
Length & Style Guidelines
- Aim for ~45–60 characters; readable on mobile.
- No shouty ALL CAPS; use separators “•” or “|”.
- Use clear tokens guests scan for: Balcony, Parking, AC, Workspace, Metro, Old Town, Beach, River View.
- One unique title per room/unit—avoid copy-paste duplicates.
Tailor by Market
- Business city: “Quiet Workspace • Fast Wi-Fi • Near Convention Center”.
- Leisure/Beach: “Sea View • Balcony • 5-min Beach • Parking”.
- Historic core: “Old Town • Charming Studio • Walk Everywhere”.
Low-Tech A/B Rotation (2 weeks)
- Create two variants (A and B) using the formula.
- Run version A for 7–14 days; note impressions, clicks, conversion.
- Switch to version B for the same period; compare CTR and conversion.
- Keep the winner; iterate one element at a time (e.g., swap Hook, keep Type+Location).
Quick Do/Don’t
- ✅ Lead with the strongest Hook; keep fluff out.
- ✅ Include one transport or landmark cue guests instantly understand.
- ❌ No emojis or long adjective strings; they reduce scannability.
